The APSCUF internship is a great opportunity for a student interested in government, politics, public affairs, journalism, or communications. APSCUF interns must be professional, self-motivated, and skilled communicators. Our recent interns have gone on to jobs in the legislature, lobbying, and the news media.
The student internship must be for academic credit un
der the supervision of a PASSHE (Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education) university faculty member. The successful applicant should have strong knowledge of government workings, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. APSCUF will pay $10 per hour and interns are expected to work 35 hours each week, Monday through Friday.
- The Summer 2016 internship begins May 30, 2016, and concludes Aug. 12, 2016. The application deadline for the Summer 2016 internship was Feb. 19, 2016.
- The Fall 2016 internship begins Aug. 29, 2016, and concludes Dec. 9, 2016. The application deadline for the Fall 2016 internship has been extended to Friday, March 25.
- The Spring 2017 internship begins Jan. 23, 2017, and concludes May 5, 2017. The application deadline for the Spring 2017 internship is Nov. 7, 2016.
