The Kutztown University GLBTQ Resource Center is seeking a creative, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a writing intern for the Fall 2013 semester. The writing intern will be responsible for generating content for the Daily Brief and Bear Essentials newsletters, designing and creating event posters, editing and proofreading copy, and writing other miscellaneous documents, including letters and press releases. The intern will also work closely with Allies and other center employees, as well as serve as a resource to center visitors.

GLBTQ Resource Center Mission
Established February 3, 2005, KU’s GLBTQ Resource Center seeks to be the regional center for resources which create and support environments whereby the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, inter-sex and questioning students, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni have access, inclusion, recognition, equality and respect in all facets of higher education.
1.) Provide a safe network and to advocate for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, questioning (GLBTQ) and Allies who are students, staff or faculty of Kutztown University.
2.) Educate students, staff and faculty of Kutztown University about discrimination and the oppression of GLBTQ individuals.
3.) Increase awareness and acceptance of GLBTQ persons and issues and to create and insure cooperation and unity among the Kutztown University community.
