Berks Encore, a nonprofit agency serving the
needs of Berks County older adults, is looking for a full- or part-time
writing/marketing intern for the Spring semester.
The successful candidate will write for a variety of media, including but not limited to:
- Monthly newsletter
- Web site
- Press releases
- Special events
- Email newsletters
The candidate will write for a variety of
audiences, including those over the age of 50, their adult children,
businesses and other nonprofit agencies. In addition to writing, the
position includes assisting with special events, working
closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Development.
The individual must be able to work independently
and as part of a team, be able to multi-task as well as be willing to
perform duties including bulk mailings and other administrative
functions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday,
and the hours are flexible (between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.). Candidates
must have access to a vehicle, as travel may be required to other center
sites located throughout the county. This internship is unpaid.
